To assist consumers in obtaining their rights and good value for money when engaging a renovation contractor, the Standard Contract gives guidelines on the contractual obligations between renovation firms and their consumers.

The RADAC Standard Contract (Home Renovation and Decoration Agreement) overs the following basic terms:

•     Renovating premise

•     Commencement date

•     Date of completion

•     Guarantee period

•     Compensation amount if there is any delay in job

•     Contract amount

•     Terms of payment
